Santa lives in Miami

On Sunday morning it was quite chilly. My friend Lety gave Sofia this Cinderella sweater recently and I thought it was the perfect opportunity to put it on her. She looked so cute in it!! I only have one sweater that fits me. It's this beautiful, red, 3/4 sleeve sweater. Very cozy, but not too thick. Perfect for Miami winters.

(disclaimer: not really me. I have a head.)

As I'm finishing up my make up in the bathroom mirror, Sofia jumps up on the toilet and begins to check out her new sweater.

Me: You look beautiful!! You look just like a princess!

Sofia: And you look like Santa!

Great! When you can pass for the fat old dude, you know you have gained some weight.

Anyways, with that in mind, here's the newest stats on Baby Logan. Everything looks awesome. My ultrasound results look good and the baby is growing according to schedule. I just took my glucose test, so cross your fingers that everything comes out well. Also, the doc scheduled my c-section for Feb. 6. So it looks like Baby Logan is going to share a birthday with his Tia Ana.

It's kind of a bummer that I have to have an amnio 2 days before the c-section. I've been guaranteed my many that it's not a big deal, but I'm still kind of nervous. What if the needle goes in and pokes Baby Logan's eye out? Or, I keep having visions of the placenta popping like a balloon. When I expressed these very same thoughts to my OB, he kind of looked at me funny, but I tend to think he doesn't possess to much patience to begin with.

Oh well. I have time to adjust to the fact. Positive thoughts. Positive thoughts.

Have I told you lately that I love your blog? :)

Repeat after me: I am not Santa... I think Sofia inherited Jose's humor.

Isn't is awesome to have an "end date"? Now you can plan, have everything ready at home, and know exactly when you're going to stop working. None of this "pop at any moment" garbage. As for the amnio, rest assured that the person doing it is no amateur. And if you're looking the procedure up online and worrying yourself sick over the "what if's", stop that. Focus on the positive, and know that you and this baby are blessed. You've got people who love you praying for you and the baby daily, sending good energy your way. I even suspect Lety lights up her cigar and rattles some beads - it's a Cuban thing, you know how we do. LOL All will be well my friend.

Ditto with Sue, I love to read your blogs. I am so blocking that weekend off to be with you guys, to help you and stuff. Hey I might even throw in a maid service in there before you come home. Kids can say the funniest things at times. The other day I picked up Leilani from school and when stupid people cut me off I say OMG What an animal he just cut me off!! So since its been nice weather I drive with the windows down, so I put her window down all the way and the guy that cuts me off is next to me with his windows down and she sticks out her head and yells at the guy: Hey you Animal, you cut off my Tia!!! I died for a second, looked at the guy, smiled and rolled up the window and drove off like una loca!! Yes.....imgine that one!
